In Technology we offer two subjects at GCSE. 'Systems and Control' and 'Resistant Materials'. Over the past two years pupils in Year 11 and 12 have chosen to follow the 'Resistant Materials' option. In this option pupils will spend approximately 70% of their time in the workshop making products which develop essential practical skills. – Skills which include CAD CAM, Brazing, Welding, Riveting, Press Forming, Vacuum Forming plus all other bench skills that are necessary for working with Wood, Metal, and Plastic.
Over the past three years only one student has passed through Technology GCSE and failed to achieve at least a grade C. All other pupils have achieved grades ranging from A to C.
