Learning for Life and Work
In line with the Revised Curriculum, all students at GCSE study Learning for Life and Work at GCSE. This course consists of three externally assessed modules and an action-based project. During these modules the pupils will be expected to complete homework, carry out research inside and outside school and take part in individual and group work.
Pupils will study the following modules:
1.Local and Global Citizenship
i) Diversity and Inclusion
ii) Equality and Social Justice
iii) Democracy in Action
2.Personal,Social and Health Education
i) Health and Drugs Education
ii) Relationships and Sexuality
iii) Financial Responsibility
3.Learning for Work
i) Work in the Local and Global Economy
ii) Personal Career Planning
iii) Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
(This module will include an action based coursework piece worth 40% of the total grade.)
